Well this is it, the super-festival, the festival of festivals, the one they all want to attend and for the artists the one they all want to appear at. Yes, that's right, it's Glastonbury.
Formally titled the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, but more commonly known just as Glastonbury or even Glasto, the festival has been taking place since 1970 at Pilton in rural Somerset and attracts crowds of up to 150,000 over the course of the event.
One of the key features of Glastonbury is the camping, with the majority of the festival goers, celebrities included donning their wellies to spend 5 days under canvas in a series of fields in what can be a pleasant enough experience if the weather is decent, but if it rains can get pretty nasty fairly quickly! All part of the experience though, and this remains a festival everyone should try to get to at least once, preferably while still young enough to be able to camp out without crippling yourself...
Full lineup to follow.
In previous years the level of online coverage from Glastonbury has been pretty disappointing to be honest, but the BBC are continuing their mission to make each year the most digital Glastonbury ever so we're expecting good things.
They have now confirmed a total of over 30 hours of live coverage across their various channels and online media, with live sets on BBC1 and BBC2 as well as extensive coverage on the red button and iPlayer. Check out all the live coverage of Glastonbury on the BBC here:
There is an up to date article detailing exactly where to find all of the Glastonbury 2017 coverage across all of the BBC TV and radio channels here.

The Glastonbury festival is all about the camping, and the vast majority bring their tents and embrace the complete festival experience, many going home with tales that will spread into legend. Check out the full camping details here.
If you're more of a 5-star fan than bare canvas, there are some hotels near enough to be able to check out the music and still sleep in a proper bed. You can check availability and make reservations for local hotels here.
